The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an Account Manager to join our team of communication professionals to work on some of the most exciting renewable energy and major infrastructure projects across the UK.

We are looking for someone who is confident, positive, enthusiastic and hardworking. We want someone who likes making decisions, enjoys making things happen and feels at ease when coordinating and planning different activities.

You will have proven experience in developing and managing client, stakeholder and media relationships. You will have a solid understanding of communication and consultation practice and approaches, as well as a keen interest in current affairs. You should have impeccable written and communication skills and be comfortable liaising face-to-face with members of the public and senior stakeholders.

Ideally, you will have a sound background in communications and knowledge of the renewable energy and major infrastructure sectors. Knowledge of the planning system and the structures of local government would be helpful. You may have experience working for a comparable agency or in an in-house role in communications, stakeholder engagement or consultation, or you may have transferable skills gained through a career in planning, architecture or local government.

The Role

Your role will involve:

  • Working with our Directors to design stakeholder engagement, consultation and PR strategies and activities across a range of client projects, supporting property and regeneration schemes and/or policies
  • Leading on the delivery of these strategies, including client liaison, stakeholder analysis, managing the production of communication materials (print and digital), consultation analysis and reporting
  • Managing and organising consultation events, exhibitions and stakeholder briefings
  • Developing and managing media relationships for clients both locally and nationally
  • Managing project finance, budgets and suppliers
  • Contributing to proposal documents and pitches for potential client projects
  • Staying well informed about new trends and best practice in PR and engagement and imparting this knowledge to the wider Account Management team.

The Offer

The role is based flexibly i.e. from our London or Sheffield office or from home but will involve working on projects across the country, with the requirement (post Covid-19 pandemic) to travel to meetings and events. It should be noted that community engagement and consultation programmes often require evening meetings and occasional weekend working.

Salary: £25,000 to £32,000 depending on experience. London weighting also applicable.

Annual Leave: Taking time away from working life is important to us, so we offer 25 days annual leave each year and the option to top up with our holiday purchase scheme.

We go above and beyond, to give you the complete package. You will enjoy family friendly working, enhanced employer pension contributions and a complete health and wellbeing package. Most importantly, we offer you a place in a close-knit team who work hard, care for each other and want to make a difference.

Our Energy and Utilities team operates out of our offices in Sheffield and London.

The pandemic has shown we can work from anywhere, but it’s also taught us that spending time together is really important. We’re working towards a flexible hybrid model of home and office working, so we are seeking applications from candidates who can easily access one of our offices.

Most importantly, we offer you a place in our growing agency and within a close-knit team who work hard, care for each other and want to make a difference. We have been trading successfully for 26 years. The last three years have been our most successful ever. We’re looking to hear from people with a passion to be part of this and to grow with us.
