We have an opportunity for a Contaminated Land Project Manager to join our South West Regional Office. Operating within a small team locally, but in close liaison with other offices, candidates will be required to take a project from initial design stage through to implementation and completion. Projects will include site investigations and remediation work for domestic heating oil spills and commercial / industrial sites. Responsibilities will include financial management; completion within set timescales; leading a multi-skilled team, including sub-contractors; interpretative report writing; liaising with clients and regulatory authorities; and ensuring health and safety compliance. We would expect candidates to have 4+ years experience (or equivalent) in geo/environmental; contaminated land; civil engineering, including project management experience. The successful candidate will have a flexible attitude to work and posses the enthusiasm and drive to deliver the requirements of this role. The ability to work as an effective member of a team and on their own initiative will be essential, along with excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills.

Experience Requirement
- Equivalent to 4+ years working experience in geo/environmental; contaminated land; civil engineering environment.
- Experience of the whole project life cycle, able to operate from the initial walkover stage to the close out of the final report, and at each stage in between.
- Supervisory experience to include small project teams and / or management of external contractors and specialists.
- Experience and working knowledge of Phase I, Phase II and remediation including technical reviews, proposals, conceptual model design, option appraisals, remediation strategies, implementation plans, assessment and reporting.
- Conversant with health, safety and environmental procedures, quality assurance procedures, financial and commercial procedures.
- Relevant supervisory Health & Safety training courses.
- Practical experience and knowledge of the implementation of in-situ remediation would be an advantage.
- Degree level qualification in an appropriate scientific discipline. Appropriate post graduate qualifications and appropriate professional qualifications (chartership) a significant advantage.
- Experience in dealing with multiple small projects and / or domestic oil spill remediation would be an advantage.
