The need for strong and capable conservation leaders across government, academia, the private sector and civil society has never been greater. Building conservation capacity and leadership wherever it is most needed is one of FFI’s most critical areas of work. We want to support aspiring and emerging conservation leaders across the globe, both institutions and individuals, and aid their efforts to confront the growing challenges we all face. We believe that investing in talented individuals and maintaining strong effective institutions and networks equals effective and sustained conservation.  The Conservation Capacity & Leadership team works both to enable the strengthening of FFI’s own effectiveness, as well as building conservation capacity directly through our partner networks and beyond.

FFI is seeking a motivated and skilled Programme Development Manager to work within the Conservation Capacity & Leadership team. You will take responsibility for coordinating and supporting FFI’s approaches to statutory sources of funding. The role will also reinforce FFI’s project cycle with a particular focus on project planning. You will be a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and experience of statutory fundraising. You may also have experience of planning conservation projects (or projects in a related field), along with a demonstrated commitment to the conservation and/or development fields.

You will act as the focal point for coordination of FFI’s fundraising approaches to statutory donors. You will provide facilitation, research, administrative, information management and proposal development support to FFI’s Conservation teams. The post holder will also be required to work closely with colleagues in the Conservation Capacity & Leadership team to drive and support programmatic fundraising more broadly and input to aspects of the team’s wider programme.
