Description  

The Grants Finance Officer will join ClientEarth’s finance team at a very exciting time when the team is growing in line with the growth of the organisation. This is a newly created role and will involve working with the finance team and programme staff to ensure the sound management of ClientEarth’s financial resources and the smooth financial management of its grant portfolio.

 About you

You will have previously worked in a similar finance capacity for an NGO/charity or in the public sector. You will have experience working with accounting packages together with a very good working knowledge of MS Office and Excel in particular. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of donor reporting (ideally DfID/ EU) and be comfortable with the nuances of accounting for the NGO sector. You will have excellent organisational skills, be able to set priorities and react positively in light of shifting and competing time pressures. Good written and oral communication skills and most importantly, thoroughness and attention to detail with a keen focus on getting the job done correctly, are also key requirements. You will have team working skills, be able to use initiative and be a problem solver.
