Description  

A new opportunity is available to join Hampshire County Council’s Countryside Service as a Senior Access Ranger. The role sits within our Southern Area Team who manage, protect and develop public access in a challenging and diverse part of the county which includes our coastline as well as the New Forest and parts of the South Downs National Parks.

You will be supporting the area manager on a diverse range of larger capital projects, work programs and partnerships, as well as leading and coordinating the work of a 3 person Ranger Team, who specialise in rights of way maintenance and community engagement.

You will be expected to have a robust knowledge of rights of way management and be able to demonstrate experience in both line management and project management.

The role is currently available until the 1st of June 2018, but may be extended depending on Service needs at the time.
Given the nature of the work, you may be required to attend some evening and very occasional weekend meetings. It is also expected you will hold a full driving license and use of a vehicle and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.
