As the Wellbeing Programmes Leader, you will have the opportunity to lead one of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship programmes.  The Wellbeing Programme works to put people with a range of issues back in touch with nature and works in a holistic way to engage and support them to better mental and physical health.

You will have responsibility for a small team and will need to inspire and motivate Wellbeing Programme staff, community groups and volunteers as well as take responsibility for the delivery of the Trust’s Wellbeing programme outcomes and support the sustainability of the Trust’s work in this area.

As a member of the Business Development and Community Engagement Team the Wellbeing Programme Leader will not only lead the current delivery of the Trust’s adult Wellbeing Programmes, but will have the opportunity to develop the programme further and come up with innovative new ideas and projects.

To be successful you will need to be able to maintain and develop close links and partnerships with GPs, Wiltshire Public Health and other voluntary, private and public sector partners.  You will have an understanding of community health and mental health issues and experience of delivering outdoor activities is essential.  The role will be an advocate for the benefits of the natural environment to health, mental health and wellbeing and will be able to transition this into sustainable wellbeing programmes for adults, through sound knowledge of income generation, commissioning of services and partnership building.

With relevant and appropriate experience, you will need to be able to demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills along with proven experience of delivering successful health and wellbeing initiatives.

Although the current role is 22.5 hours a week, it is anticipated that the successful candidate will generate extra income and resources which will not only further develop the programme but will also lead to the Programme Leader becoming a full time post.
