Water and Wetlands Officer – Lover Your River

Post Details:  Full time 35 hours per week, with occasional evening and weekend working (the initial contract is for a year with the potential to be made permanent). 8% employer contribution stakeholder pension, 4% employee contribution.

Salary: £21,000

Location: Lower Smite Farm, Hindlip near Worcester. 

We are looking for a confident and capable person to join our Wider Countryside Team as the Water and Wetlands Officer – Love Your River to work with communities and landowners. We have a long history of managing, restoring and creating wetland habitats, the post holder will be working closely with partners including the Environment Agency and Severn Trent Water to restore the water quality and habitats along urban and rural water courses. Our previous work has resulted in us winning the 2014 England River Prize – Best Value for Money Category.  We are looking for an officer who is able to work with communities and landowners as well as contractors to develop our Love Your River work and support local volunteer groups monitoring watercourses.
