Senior Sector Manager - Commercial Development

Reporting to the Head of Organics & Alternative Fuels, the Senior Sector Manager will be responsible for developing a ‘Pull’ model across the Sector Value Chain, driving innovation and profitable growth and creating and developing a culture of  ‘innovation & intrepreneurship’.

The successful candidate will work closely with the other members of the  Alternative Fuels team and contribute to developing the end markets & Value Chain management of the respective sectors.

Key responsibilities of the role include Value Chain co-ordination to drive efficiencies at each step of the Value Chain & deliver profitable growth. The successful candidate will also identify opportunities for new market/products and lead on the end market development. 

Applicants must be able to demonstrate understanding of Trading, manufacturing and production models with a core financial understanding of these models and product lifecyles.

Working as part of a small, pro-active team the successful candidate must have the ability to translate the commercial agreement with the consumer into a contractual form and take to sign off and conclusion plus be able to demonstrate innovation and the judgement required to take calculated risks.

Experience of working with Value Chain management and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders is essential; a track record of marketing is desirable but not essential.

Candidates will require good ability with Excel, Powerpoint & Word and hold a full UK driving license.

This role will involve extensive travel both nationally and internationally.
