Description

Senior Project Officer – Green Doctor TM Programme

Environmental and social regeneration charity Groundwork London is looking to recruit a Senior Project Officer (SPO) to join our Green Doctor team.  Groundwork London Green Doctors work on a variety of projects delivering home energy efficiency visits across London. These visits are a mixture of installing low cost measures, providing advice and guidance, and referring residents on to further services and agencies. We are increasingly working on projects which have a strong health or financial inclusion focus.

Working with the Programme Manager, the Senior Project Officer will be responsible for the day to day management of the Green Doctor programme as well as forming and maintaining stakeholder relationships across multiple partnerships; networking and outreach experience is an advantage. The SPO will be also responsible for the line management of the Green Doctors.

You will have a good knowledge of fuel poverty and the effects it has on the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people, along with the negative health implications of living in a cold home.  We are particularly interested in hearing from you if you have health sector experience with knowledge of NHS systems and coding, and/or experience working on financial inclusion projects.

You should be happy leading and working as part of a team as well as working independently to manage your own workload.  You will possess the necessary experience to enable you to oversee the day-to-day management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget and to a high quality.

You’ll also have excellent interpersonal skills in order to form and maintain multiagency partnerships with strong written communication skills to allow you to produce reports, evaluations and funding applications.

Ideally, you will be educated to degree level, and a qualification as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or NVQ Level 3 (6049-03) Provide Energy Efficiency Services or equivalent, or City and Guilds Energy Awareness (6281-01), previously known as the 6176 Energy Awareness, or equivalent, would be beneficial to the role.

The post-holder needs to maintain a flexible approach to the role as it develops and our Energy Services programmes change.
