Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Investigator to join our Land and Environmental Defenders team.

About us

Global Witness wants a more sustainable, just and equal planet. We want climate-critical forests and biodiversity to thrive and fossil fuels to stay in the ground. We want corporations to respect the planet and human rights, governments to protect and listen to their citizens, and the online world to be free from misinformation and hate.

Global Witness is looking for a senior investigator to play an essential part in achieving our goal to stop the abuse of power by corporate actors, which leads to threats and violence against defenders.

About the role

Your investigations will uncover corporate involvement in threats to and the actual violence and abuse of land and environmental defenders. The facts you expose will be used by our advocacy and policy specialists to campaign for new laws that transform corporate accountability.

This role may involve seeing or hearing about human rights abuses and Global Witness will always provide you with support to manage your mental well-being.

About you

Creative, positive, and passionate about achieving change. You will bring a solid track record designing and delivering high-quality investigations and expertise in researching corporate supply chains.

You are a natural collaborator who enjoys working as part of a team with a solid affinity to Global Witness’ values and purpose.
