We have a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with experience of project co-ordination and practical land management skills to develop and manage a range of conservation operations on some of our most spectacular wildlife reserves across the Highlands and Islands, ranging from alder woodlands in Easter Ross to the 6,000ha Benmore Coigach in Sutherland
Working with the Reserves Manager, you will organise practical habitat management, forestry and access tasks; lead volunteers and supervise contractors to ensure these tasks are delivered.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent organisational and communication skills, enthusiasm and flexibility. The role is mainly outdoor working in sometimes rugged environments. It also requires you to liaise with regional partners and neighbouring landowners to ensure our wildlife reserves are integrated with activities in the wider landscape.
To apply you should be educated to at least Higher National Certificate level, with knowledge of upland land management issues, and experience in practical land management. Qualifications in the use of brush-cutters, chainsaws and herbicide application are desirable.
A full UK driving licence, first aid certificate and health and safety awareness is essential.
