The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (CEH) is part of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and is the UK's Centre of Excellence for integrated research in terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems and their interaction with the atmosphere. Working in partnership with the research community, policy makers, industry and society, CEH undertakes cutting edge research to deliver world class solutions to the most complex environmental challenges facing humankind. CEH has an annual turnover of £35 million, and employs staff across four sites; the headquarters is at Wallingford with further sites at Bangor, Edinburgh and Lancaster.

You will support the day-to-day delivery of corporate and project marketing communication campaigns, across diverse channels, in collaboration with PR, social media, design and web and internal communication team members.

You will be responsible for creating and proofing content such as news items, blog posts, short videos or infographics, primarily for digital but also supporting trade and science events; managing webinars; liaising with internal and external and stakeholders to support the communication requirements of CEH’s science and management teams and occasionally acting as CEH’s press contact.  

You will have excellent time management skills to ensure activity is delivered on time and within budget, as well as first-rate written skills. Digital competency is important, with experience in MS Office essential. Awareness of Adobe Creative suite or other design or video production software and techniques will be advantageous.
