The ideal candidate will:
- Have prior experience in project administration, particularly experience in supervising budgets.
- Extensive experience of project communications on a range of platforms, to include the creation and curation of content on webs-sites and social media.
- Be educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification or have relevant work experience.
- Previous experience of expedition/overseas project visit organisation or management.
- Have excellent organisational abilities and administrative skills with strong attention to detail and dealing with suppliers.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
- A good grasp of marine and freshwater conservation issues particularly those in the UK Overseas territories is desirable.
- Be pro-active and would become involved in the development / revision of projects, methodologies and reports.
This job would suit a graduate in the field of aquatic/ marine biology, or similar discipline, who is looking to develop a career in conservation. They will have an understanding of, and passion for, the conservation of aquatic habitats and fauna and a particular interest in mangroves and/or coral reefs.
Please note: The post holder will be based primarily at the ZSL main offices in London, Regents Park, but may occasionally be required to travel to collaborators based elsewhere in London and the UK.
