Description |

ClientEarth is seeking an enthusiastic intern to work in our Biodiversity team with the lawyers focussing on conservation issues in both the marine and terrestrial environments. The internship will be at our London office.
You will have a relevant degree in law or legal studies. Knowledge of EU and UK environmental laws, and current threats to biodiversity will be advantageous. This internship is focussed primarily on legal analysis relating to the EU Habitats Directive and to various threats facing wildlife across Europe. You will also follow the development of the UK’s 25 year plan for the environment. In this context the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a specialised team of lawyers and scientists based in London, Brussels and Warsaw.
The internship will enable you to learn directly how environmental issues can be tackled through legal approaches. You will join our staff in regular learning and development events and be given full support in developing the skills needed to thrive in a professional environment. You will have the opportunity to hone your drafting skills for a variety of audiences and receive constructive feedback on your work from experienced professionals.
