Reports to:     Water Team Leader

Salary:            £20,000

Hours:             Full time (37.5hrs per week)

Based:             Devizes

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust (WWT) requires a Field Officer to support the work of the Water Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate team member to take on this exciting opportunity.

The successful applicant will play an important role in the preparation and delivery of river restoration and habitat improvement projects in the Hampshire Avon Catchment, as well as the Bristol Avon and Thames catchments in Wiltshire. In this, they will work closely together with multiple partners and stakeholders across the county. The successful applicant will have direct experience with habitat improvement work and/or river restoration projects, either with a statutory body, NGO, consultancy or specialist contractor.

A full driving licence is a requirement for this post.

This post is advertised as a maternity cover initially (until 1 December  2017), but with the possibility to extend, depending on future funding.

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust was set up in 1962 to campaign and take action to protect the natural environment. Since then the Trust has grown to become one of the UK’s leading environmental charities, working to create a sustainable future for wildlife and people. The Water Team is leading on several long-running river habitat improvement projects (Wessex Chalk Streams Project, Source to Sea – tackling invasive species), and developing new partnerships across Wiltshire.
