Salary :  £17.500pa (pro rata)

Hours :   Initially 25 Hours per week, with the potential future opportunity of a full-time permanent post

Based :  Lower Moor Farm, Oaksey, Wiltshire

As the Education Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to support young adults with Special Educational needs and disabilities at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s innovative Post 16 and Post 19 educational farm, Lakeside House, Lower Moor Farm, in the north of the county.   You will be working with young people who have a statement or need or an EHCP, supporting students and users to reach their full potential.  

You will have responsibility for delivering the vocational curriculum, life-skills and enrichment activities and monitoring progress in all areas. You will have the opportunity to use your love of outdoor, practical learning to support independence, confidence and self- esteem in those at Lakeside. 

As a member of the Business Development and Community Engagement Team the Educational Support Worker at Lakeside will have the opportunity to develop the educational farm further and come up with innovative new ideas and projects with the students and Post 19 users .

To be successful you will need to be able work with range needs and possible challenging behaviour.  You will need to be self-motivated, patient, positive and confident in 1-1 working.

Along with relevant and appropriate experience, you will need to be able to demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.

There may be some evening and weekend working required.
