Salary: £17.067.50pa (pro rata)

Hours 22.5hours 3 days a week

Based: Blakehill reserve, Cricklade, Swindon

Contract: Fixed term for a maximum period of 3 years.

To support the Building Bridges project officer by ensuring the maintenance of the Trust’s nature reserve infrastructure, through carrying out a programme of essential site and land management work with a conservation team of participants aged over 50 who are unemployed or economically inactive. This work will be carried out in close partnership with the trusts Conservation and Land Management team in Swindon and North Wiltshire.

There are no formal line management responsibilities associated with this post but supervision of participants and volunteers will be a feature. This post will assist with the delivery of the essential programme of maintenance and repairs that is necessary to maintain a safe working and visitor environment to a high standard.

Practical land management and conservation skills will be essential. To be successful you will need to be able work with people with a range of needs and possible challenging behaviour. You will need to be self-motivated, patient and positive.

Along with relevant and appropriate experience, you will need to be able to demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
