Description  

We are looking for a bright and passionate colleague to work with us on our Logistics and Supply Chain Sustainability engagement programmes. Your work will primarily focus on supporting the NexTrust project – an initiative aimed at improving the efficiency of logistics across the EU, and one of our single client platforms. (Closing date 17th of April, but the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is identified so please apply early!)

You will work with the NexTrust Engagement Manager to maintain an online collaboration space which enables the project members to work, communicate and manage shared project tasks effectively together.  You will also support the creation of communication materials such newsletters and videos which will be used to disseminate the project progress to the wider public. 
Some travel within the UK and continental Europe may be necessary as part of the role.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Optimising the project member space on a regular basis to ensure it continues to reflect the needs and priorities of the project. Tasks will include welcoming new members, organising online events, facilitating member and group-wide communications on the platform as well as prompting and developing content plans and seeking responses to posted questions.
  • Efficient administration of the platform database. You’ll be responsible for managing a variety of datasets, spotting trends and reporting observations during the weekly team meetings.
  • Building strong relationships with members. By understanding their needs and interests, we decide how to best support them.
  • Staying abreast of current affairs and initiatives/compliance affecting the logistics and supply chain industries to ensure the collaboration space content stays up-to-date.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience in a marketing, engagement, knowledge-sharing, transport & logistics or supply chain management role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong telephone and face-to-face communication skills and proven strong writing and editing ability (blogging, analysis, reports)
  • Experience in a client-facing role working with commercial organisations
  • Professional approach and able to inspire confidence in our clients and community members – both senior managers and technical experts
  • Proficient in working with senior management and other stakeholders
  • An interest in and understanding of basic commercial principles and sustainable business
